MISSIONS IS CENTRAL
get to know our current mission…
Central Assembly supports missionaries around the globe through intercessory prayer and monthly donations. In the past we have helped send teams to conduct evangelism and crusades in Central and South America. Currently, our Missions focus is in Ethiopia, Africa.
Angleton Central Assembly of God is partnered with AG Headquarters and local churches in Ethiopia to advance the Kingdom of God. For the past 18 months, Central has been supporting Ayat Assembly of God, a local AG church, in expediting their church building project. As a result, Ayat has successfully planted three churches in rural areas of Northern Ethiopia that were previously unevangelized, predominantly Muslim, and affected by war.
Central is also aligned with the five-year vision of Pastor Ayansa, the Superintendent of Assemblies of God in Ethiopia, which aims to plant 2000 churches in different regions of Ethiopia within five years. In June 2023, Pastor Brad Du Bose and Pastor Amanuel Lemessa traveled to Ziway, Ethiopia to participate in the first round of a three-month-long training program. They provided support and training to 100 ministers from various parts of the country, equipping them to plant churches in different areas.
In December 2022, Central partnered with physical therapists and doctoral candidate students from a university in Missouri. A team of 12 physical therapists traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for 11 days. During their visit, they delivered much-needed physical therapy services to underserved communities, trained local physical therapists, and shared the message of the gospel.
Moving forward, Central will continue to be actively involved in medical missions and in training and equipping ministers, pastors, and leaders who are preparing to plant churches in uncharted regions of Ethiopia.
